Obituary of Diana Flajnik

Diana Flajnik August 10, 1938 - July 11, 2024 Our hearts are broken... Diana Ann Flajnik (nee Makaric) has passed in her 85th year, at Hospice of Windsor, surrounded by family, after a brief illness. Only Daughter of the late Milica (2003) and Anton (1988) Makaric. Favourite Sister of her late older brother, Walter (1993). Loving Wife of almost 66 years, to her husband, Walt. Best Mom to Linda (James) Dean, Greg (Cheryl), and David (Nancy). Proud Baba (Grandma) to Danielle (Ralph) Prestia, Kylie (Harry) Young, Dyllan (Adrianna) Flajnik, and Madison Flajnik. Overjoyed Great Grandma (GGma) to Eleanor and Juliet Prestia, and Remy and Ruby Young. Mom had a great sense of style and was an incredibly generous person, always giving to others. Her happy place was home in her 'Garden of Weedin', in her kitchen baking, visiting with family, especially the great-grandbabies, or planning what she could do for all of us. She loved us, she spoiled us, she taught us so many things, except how to live without her. Mom, you loved us for your entire life, and now we'll miss you for the rest of ours. We will always be grateful to Hospice for taking such good care of Mom, making her as comfortable as she could be in her last 9 days and treating our family so kindly. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Central location). Per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place with no visitation or service. Online condolences to the family may be left at www.windsorchapel.com If you so wish, in Mom's honour, please consider donating to Hospice of Windsor-Essex County, so they can continue their incredible mission.
