Obituary of Thomas Lionel Couvillion
With saddened hearts, the family of Thomas Lionel Couvillion announce his passing on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the age of 88. Loving husband of Claire Marie Couvillion (nee Desjardins). Cherished father of Corinne (Rick) Eagen and Tom (Allison) Couvillion. Adored Pépé of Eric (Melissa) Eagen, Kyle (Hanh) Eagen, Stephanie (Kyle) Archibald, Jeffrey Couvillion, Nathalie (Justin) Reynolds. Special Pip to great grandchildren, Owen, Kayden, Layton, Rayah, Frederick, Blair, and Bébé Eagen (due in September) Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Anna Couvillion. Dear brother of the late Pauline Miron, Roland Couvillion, Regina Donaldson, Lucille Lucier, Jeanine Deguire, and Ron Couvillion. Tom was a retired postman. He was a member of Knights of Columbus council #9793 Windsor, and also Grand Knight. Tom was a talented woodcarver who created many beautiful pieces for family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E.) 519-253-7234 with parish prayers at 4:30pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 10-10:30am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd.), funeral mass to follow at 10:30am. Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thomas can be made to Hospice of Windsor or Second Chance Ministry. A special thank you for the wonderful care he received at WRH, especially nurses Amira, Lawrence, Ryan, Abbi, Sarah and Karoline, and Sara in ER, Registered Dietitian Jenna and Speech language pathologist Ashley, also Doctor Krahn and Doctor Tremblay.
