Dawson, Victoria “Vicky” (nee Lesperance)

Born May 25, 1931 – June 23, 2024

Passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024 at the age 93 years. Wife and best friend of the late Hardie since 1951 (65 years). Daughter of Mary Lesperance (nee Iler) and Raymond Lesperance. Sister to late Raymond Lesperance (late Marcella), late Mary Lou Goodfellow (late Red), Charles Lesperance (Penni), Helen Jean Beaudoin (late Mike) and late Isadore Lesperance (Jill). Sister-in-law to Romayne Gusba and Jackie Overs. Loving mother of late Bruce (1997), Tom (Paulette), late Ken (2022), Anne Marie (Paul), late Paul (2010) and Dave. Cherished grandmother to Adam, Andre, Emily and Benoit. Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Victoria was a retiree from Bell Canada in April 1991 after 42 years of services and was a lifetime Pioneer. Throughout her life Victoria was involved in many organizations and devoted her time volunteering. She was a member of the CWL, an Ambassador of Tourism of Windsor & Essex County and Peele Island. A chair member of the Cleary, Capital Theatre, United Way and International Freedom Festival. She was also involved in her neighbourhood watch, Knights of Columbus, the Senior Euchre Club of the Windsor Sportsmen Card Club, Great Adventure Tour Guide and was a St. Thomas Eucharistic Minister. In honor of Victoria's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul or Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (519-253-7335).
