My deepest condolences to all the family and friends of Laura. I have many fond memories of Laura and am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful warm and caring person and will be missed.

I spent a fair bit of time on Ellis, swimming and playing school. She made the best chocolate chip cookies and the cookie jar always seemed to be full. I hope, Linda, Teresa and Joan, that you are happy and well. My condolences to all of you. Sounds like she had a full life.

I’m so lucky to have called Laura Deppisch my grandmother. She taught me so many things in life. How to be the hostess with the mostess, how to be a card shark, how to listen and how to cook and bake marvellous things. I have so many fond memories cuddling up with her and papa watching old movies or snacking on a warm summer day in the backyard or chatting quietly for hours working on a puzzle or talking on the phone in the evenings about her and papas life together. She had the most wonderful smile and gave such tight hugs. She will be missed!
