I’m so lucky to have called Laura Deppisch my grandmother. She taught me so many things in life. How to be the hostess with the mostess, how to be a card shark, how to listen and how to cook and bake marvellous things.
I have so many fond memories cuddling up with her and papa watching old movies or snacking on a warm summer day in the backyard or chatting quietly for hours working on a puzzle or talking on the phone in the evenings about her and papas life together.
She had the most wonderful smile and gave such tight hugs. She will be missed!
If you missed the opportunity to have her teach you how to make peach pie, I give it to you here:
