Obituary of Margaret-Lyn Percy

With broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret-Lyn Percy (nee Atherton) at 49 years. Margaret-Lyn passed surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.

Margaret-Lyn (Peggy-Lyn) is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Jody and sons Liam, Gavin and Aiden. Margaret is also survived by parents Richard and Jill Atherton as well as sister Susan Bondy and her husband Ryan Bondy. Margaret will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret worked for Stellantis at the Windsor Assembly Plant and was a proud member of Unifor Local 444 for 28 years. During her time at Windsor Assembly she made many dear friends. Margaret was a mental health trainer for Unifor and staunch advocate for mental health supports often personally assisting her co-workers, friends and family members experiencing mental health struggles and crisis. She never turned her back on someone in need.

Margaret was also an executive member of the Windsor chapter of the Parents of Multiple Births Association (POMBA) where she met some her dearest friends. She also was the chairperson and organizer of the ALL 4 KIDS sale for many years.

Most of all, Margaret loved her family. Her sons were a great source of pride. She loved spending time kayaking with her sister. Margaret loved sharing time at the cottage with extended family and friends.

Cremation has taken place in accordance to Margaret-Lyn's wishes.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Windsor Essex Hospice or the Essex Windsor Humane Society in Margaret's honour.
