Obituary of Michael Happy

HAPPY, Michael (Mick) March 25, 1950- May 20, 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and quick passing of Mick (Michael) Happy, who is going to be one of the biggest losses for our families. We will miss his sense of humour, his regular sarcastic comments such as “Ah Sh.t,” and chewing toothpicks. Loving and cherished spouse and best friend of Linda. Predeceased by his parents Basil and Lillian Happy. Predeceased by his brother Allan (survived by wife Barb), and brother Robin. Survived by his sisters Jan (Greg) Meyer, Debbie (John) Miernecki. Dearest son in law of the late Jim and Freddie Meyer. Brother in law of Dennis (Shelley) Meyer, and predeceased by his dear brother in law Randy Meyer. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Mick was a proud retiree of the City of Windsor Parks and Rec Department, where he was a skilled painter retiring in 2001 after 32 years of exemplary service. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E.) 519-253-7234 on Thursday May 23rd 2024 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held in the Chapel on Friday May 24th at 11am. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (Highway 3, Oldcastle ON). In kindness, memorial tributes in memory of Mick may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Windsor-Essex, the Canadian Diabetic Association, or the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
