Obituary of Nicolina Papasodaro

With saddened hearts, the family of Nicolina Papasodaro announces her passing on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the age of 73.

Nicolina was the loving wife, best friend, and dance partner of Nicola Papasodaro for 52 years. Loving Mother to Sabino Papasodaro (Tammy), Laura Ryan (Sean), Cathy Kaschak (Jim), and Tina Bologna (Luca). She was a beloved Nonna to Stefan, late Aubrey (2007), Nico, Lylah, Gianluca, and Maryn. Nicolina was a dear sister to Elena latonna.

We were blessed to be touched by Nicolina in so many ways, her warmth and kindness evident in every interaction. Her genuine compassion and unwavering support were a source of strength for all who knew her. Nicolina's laughter could light up a room, and her wisdom provided guidance in times of need. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel valued and loved, creating a sense of belonging and comfort that will be deeply missed.

The imprint she left on our hearts is everlasting. Nicolina was immensely proud of her family. We will cherish many beautiful memories, especially those of Sunday dinners surrounded by family, filled with love and laughter. Our parents' love for eachother serves as a strong example of marriage and devotion, her children will continue to honor and emulate in their own families. Nicolina's beautiful soul will live on in her precious grandchildren, whom she loved so very much.

We carry her lessons, her spirit, and her memory with us, finding solace in the beautiful moments we shared. Nicolina's life was a gift, and the memories of her will remain a cherished part of us, reminding us to live with the same grace, generosity, and love that she embodied every day. Her legacy is one of unconditional love and selfless devotion, qualities that will continue to inspire us.

Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. We will love you forever.

Donations in Nicolina's memory can be made to Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation or St. Angela Merici Parish for a Mass in her honour.

Family and Friends will be received at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd E) on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm, with parish prayers at 4:30pm. A funeral mass will take place at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave.) on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11am. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
