Obituary of Olga Rusnak

With saddened hearts, the family of Olga Rusnak announce her passing on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late John Rusnak (1988). Loving mother of Larry (Leslie), Lorne (Herjinder), Gail (Roger (2011)), and Ken (Joanne). Devoted grandmother of Chris (2015), Jenny, Tanya, Amber, Krista, Johnathan and eight great grandchildren, Bella, Charlotte, Declan, Sophie, Olivia, Prim, Richard and Ryker. Dear sister of seven siblings. Survived by niece Stephanie Gamula. Predeceased by her parents Dmytro and Michalena Gamula. Mom will be remembered for her amazing cooking, especially her perogies and cabbage rolls. She enjoyed baking, gardening and sewing of her amazing draperies. Dad and Mom were both from Saskatchewan. Mom met Dad at a little restaurant on Ottawa St. in Windsor where she worked. She then worked in downtown Detroit at Arcade Bar. Her last employment was at Tropicana (Hawaiian Tropic) in Daytona Beach, where she had a second residence.  Olga will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, Dr. Burgess, Melinda of HCCSS (Care Coordinator), Miranda (nurse), Jennifer (PSW), IDA & Shoppers pharmacies for their care and support. Cremation had taken place.
