CAROTA, Giovanni

Passed away after a short illness on Friday April 19, 2024 at 79 years of age. Beloved husband of Vittoria for 56 wonderful and loving years. Cherished Father of Dino (Rose) (Cincinnatti, Ohio) and Laura Cinelli (Tony). Proud Nonno of Sara Rogovich (Jason), Holly Carota (fiancé Isaiah Gentry-Madaris), Jacob Carota, Samantha Cinelli and Daniel Cinelli. Survived by his sister Silvana D’Orazio. Predeceased by his brother Francesco. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, the United States and Italy. Giovanni was proud of his over 30 years service at Ford Motor Co. He loved travelling and spending time with family and friends. Giovanni will be remembered for his masterful skills of painting his and so many others homes, he will certainly be missed by all those whose lives he has touched.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - South Chapel, 3048 Dougall Ave., (519-253-7236) on Friday, April 26 from 2-5 pm & 7-9 pm. Parish prayers will be held at 4:30 pm.  Visitation will continue at St. Angela Merici Church, 980 Louis Ave., on Saturday April 27, 2024 from 10am until the time of Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy those who wish may make a memorial donation to Canadian Cancer Society.
