A LETTER TO MAX
My Dear Max
Although your Dad and I have long been apart by thousands of miles, he’s never felt far away as he’s always been right here, in my heart.
I’m so sorry for the too soon loss of your dear Dad.
He was indeed a good man and a great husband,
father, brother, son and friend.
He had so many loyal lifelong friends, among them certainly Wayne, as well as Keith and Bruce that I knew. I know there are so many others, like Ron and Alex too. You’ll forgive me for not recalling all of the names, but he did speak fondly to me of each of you over the years.
To me, he was the best brother anyone could ever ask for, always kind, generous and loving, with a big heart of pure gold, just like our dear mother. That’s to say nothing of how fun and quick witted he was. He always had a joke or a pun and yes, impressive “magic tricks “. He took after his father, LPO, Sr. in that way.
In later years, I sometimes thought of him as a big brother as I so greatly respected and admired him for so many things, but most especially for having created with Jackie, a beautiful family in a most warm and welcoming home.
I never thought of him as having “suffered” as he was such a warrior and never complained to me, even once. He dealt with his health challenges as he dealt with life, with true valour, great bravery and strength. I felt safe and protected in his company as he was always so steadfast.
My thanks to your Mom, our Saint Jackie, for letting me have the service live-streamed. It allowed others of us who so dearly loved him to be a part of today’s fond farewell .
Over the years, we almost never ended a phone call without saying “I love you” to one another. So I’ll close this message the same way to you, dear Max,
I love you,.
And although we are separated by long miles, you will always remain, right here in my heart.
Yours,
Auntie CHANTAL
Xoxo

Dear Jackie, Max and the entire family,
Leslie and I send our profound condolences. Larry was a laidback, jovial and wonderful guy that enjoyed a game of golf and/or a good joke! I worked with him at Freed's Men's Wear years ago and then again in Real Estate. Larry was a true Gentleman and he often told me how much he loved spending time with Max!
I am so sorry that I am not able to make the services but our thoughts and prayers are with you.
With Love, Rob & Leslie Agnew.

I was in Larry's years at Centennial, and also on the periphery of his group of friends. Larry knew, and was liked by, everyone it seemed. So to be teased by, spoken to, affiliated with that big entourage was a happy spot. The further we move from our high school days, the fonder memories they evoke. I offer deep condolences to Larry's family..... with gratitude for having gotten to know your husband and dad when Larry and all of us were younger. Please know you're in my heart as you endure this loss.
with sympathy and affection valerie (veres) moretti

Larry was one of my first customers when I opened my store in 2018 and I was blown away by his story and his fight. Over the past 6 years he's been coming in regularly, giving us an update on his health and asking us questions about supplements, always with the most positive demeanor. Larry taught us so much over the years and was an inspiration to our staff. Our condolences to his family and may he rest in peace. He will be missed!

I had the opportunity to meet Larry briefly when we had a discussion about his proposed outdoor project our mutual architect did drawings for and he wanted to see our project first hand. Larry had an easy demeanour and was a pleasure to spend time with and get to know. I am so sorry for your loss Jackie and sending my condolences.

Jackie , I am so saddened reading that Larry has passed away. He was such a great guy such a warm genuine person I would occasionally run into at Costco few times over the past few years and we would catch up on life !
He was always so positive and one that really I admired about Larry was the love that he had for you and Max !
I wish I had words to take away the pain but unfortunately nothing can take that pain away but we can cherish the memories !
Sorry I am away otherwise I would have come to pay my respects.

Deepest condolences to Jackie and Max.
Larry has been a part of my life for close to 60 years.
I've known Larry since grade 5 days, we were next door neighbours for some years, and kept close throughout the many years to follow.
So, so many memories of... Centennial, Sandhill, Riviera, trips to Florida in the Capri, Matthews Lumber, Kaners, Tip Top, U of W, Freeds, Buckingham Realty, Who could forget the light blue Pinto (aka Shinto)
He was a cool guy! Handsome. Popular. Just an awesome guy!!
Larry was a true warrior. He took on this battle head first. Didn't want, or expect sympathy, but support and understanding. He got that from his circle of friends and Family.
Researched, researched, and researched again.
Larry's resolve was truly amazing. Truly amazing!!
Larry will very, very much be missed, but he will always be in our hearts.
