Obituary of Ann Projic

PROJIC, Ann (nee Kirin)
June 7, 1960 - March 28, 2024
It is with broken and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our loving Wife, Mother, and Baba, at the age of 63. Beloved wife of Ivan Projic with whom she celebrated 41 years of blessed marriage. Loving and devoted mother to Melissa Peric and husband Ivan, and Melanie Projic (Arman Celik). Treasured Baba to Zara, Cvita and Kristian Peric. Cherished daughter to Katica Kirin and late husband Steve (2020). Dear sister to Rosemary Zugcic and husband Joe, and sister in-law to Tadija of Mississauga, ON, Jozafata, Ankica and Marinko; all of Croatia. Adored aunt to Alison, and Lynn Zugcic. Special cousin to Janko Kirin of Croatia. Ann was a retired Teacher from the Windsor and Essex County Catholic District School Board after many years of dedicated service. She was a faithful and devout parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. She taught us the importance of faith and had a special devotion to Mother Mary and the Krunica. She was an active member of the Croatian community where she taught Croatian School and was involved in the Croatian Folklore group. Ann was passionate about travel and enjoyed trips with her family to the cottage in Grand Bend, Croatia, and especially vacationing in Cuba. To say she did everything for her family is an understatement. There are no words to portray her unconditional love. Her daughters and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She never missed a soccer game or a school event. Ann always put her needs aside to make sure the needs of her family were met. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt and sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses for their compassionate care provided to Ann, with sincere thanks to Dr. Laura Voltic. Family and friends will be received for visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 9:15 a.m. in procession from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens, As an expression of sympathy and to honour Ann, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund.
