Obituary of Barbara Diana Hackney (nee Scott)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 29, 2024, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of 52 years to Wayne. Loving mother of Jayne Rhoads (Pat) and Scott (Lucia). Proud Mamma of Kameron, Aidan, Ryan, and Emily. Survived by her sister Evelyn Rand. Barbara will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Barbara, born in Sarnia, graduated as a nurse in 1965 from Sarnia General Hospital. After raising her children, she resumed nursing in a GP office until retiring in 1998. She loved travelling, curling, boating, and camping with loved ones.

At Barbara’s request cremation and a private family interment has taken place. Memorial Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 2-5 pm.
