Obituary of Stamatios (Sam) Tjichas

TJICHAS, Stamatios (Sam)

July 11, 1938 to March 19, 2024

We are heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of Sam at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus. Sam was predeceased by his cherished wife Maria and granddaughter Maria. He leaves behind his dearly loved daughter, Elpida (Hope) and son-in-law Kosta (Dino). Adored brother to Helene (Vasili) Filippakas and Jimmy (Dolly) Tjichas. Sam is survived by many treasured nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Debbie and Rob Mantha and their family.

Sam was a skillful tailor and worked many years at Sears helping men to find the perfect suit. Sam enjoyed flowers, birds and gardening. His kindness and sense of humour will be dearly missed. Thank you to the kindness shown by the ICU nurses, especially Bryce to our beloved Sam.

Family and friends are invited to gather directly at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 3052 Walker Rd., Windsor on Friday, March 22, 2024, for the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
