Obituary of Milan Jurecko

JURECKO, Milan June 8, 1944 - November 2, 2008 Passed away peacefully at W.R.H. Metropolitan Campus, surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. Loving and devoted husband to Anna. Cherished son of Zuzana Kovalcikova and her late husband Juraj Jurecko, and predeceased by brother Jan and step-father Jan Kovalcik. Dear brother-in-law to Daniela Jureckova, Antonia Niznikova and late husband Pavel and Maria Trebisovska and husband Stefan. Dear step-brother to Margita Onderisinova and husband Jan, Frantisek Kovalcik and wife Marta. Cousin to John March, Anne Keating and husband Peter, along with daughters Barb Ash, Nancy Sledz and husband Ted. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Slovakia. Milan was a retired employee of Central Stamping Ltd. and a former member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Slovak Church. He was also an active member of the Slovak Soccer Club, and a member of St. Michael"s Slovak Byzantine Church. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Wednesday November 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Michael"s Slovak Byzantine Church for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Committal Service and cremation to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kanjeekal and nursing staff at Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Dr. Strausz, Dr. Gresko, CCAC, especially Kelly Kopcok and nurses from St. Elizabeth Health Care and W.R.H., Met.
