Obituary of Gerry Peladeau

PELADEAU, Gerry November 4, 1926- October 31, 2008 Passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife of 60 years, Alma. Cherished and most loved father of Rachelle Fournier (Phil), Michelle Quigley (Tom), Simone Lira (John), Maria Parent (Roger), Mel (Sharlene nee Adam), John (Joan nee Waters). Will be greatly missed by his 18 grandchildren, Renee, Rejean, Roger, Rosalie, Jeffrey, Sarah, Amy, Laura, Craig, Marc, Celeste, Joel, Marty, Aubree, Kurtis, Philippe, Paul and Hillary and 16 great-grandchildren, Jake, Joel, Lise, Maggie, Alma, Olivia, Celia, Simon, Fraser, Frankie, Ava, Gillian, Jack, Jolina, Veronica and Jean-Luc. Gerry is pre-deceased by his parents, Henri and Alma and father and mother-in law, Cesaire and Louise Lauzon as well as numerous brothers and sisters, and brothers and sisters-in-law. He is survived by his siblings, Theresa Faubert, Rita Vickerd, Kenny and Henry and sisters-in-law, Marie Foley, Jenette Gagne and Annette Wilkins, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gerry retired from Hiram Walker & Sons, after more than 40 years of dedicated service. He was deeply committed to his faith and was very actively involved in his parish community. Gerry and Alma celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 25, 2008 surrounded by their adoring family. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Monday November 3, 2008 from 2 -5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Prayers Monday at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are requested to meet Tuesday November 4, 2008 at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Heart Church (2153 Parkwood Ave.) for visitation, until the time ot the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
