Obituary of Michael Urban

Passed away with his family by his side on February 28th, 2024 at the age of 74. Loving and proud father to his sons Matt Urban (Jessica) and Mackenzie Urban. Dear brother to Barbara Scott (Howard) and Victoria Scott. Caring grandfather to Alaiya and Jackson, and uncle to Robert, Andrew, and Susan. Predeceased by his parents Michael Sr. and Anne. Michael will be deeply missed by his close friends Leslie Paterson, Michael Morencie, and Jo-Ann Janosik. He will also be missed by his cat, Wilma.

Michael, known to most as “Urbie,” was an avid sports fan, especially golf and football. His love for sports developed into his co-owning the original Trophy Boys store in Windsor, which he operated for 30 years. Michael also had a passion for coaching football, acting as coach for the AKO Fratmen and Windsor Lancers. He also had a love of animals, and enjoyed going to the Windsor Raceway to see the horses.

The family wishes to extend a thank-you to the nurses and staff at Banwell Gardens and Windsor Regional Hospital for their continued care and kindness. Memorial Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday March 3, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
