Obituary of Doris Larmond

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doris Larmond on February 24, 2024 in her 90th year. Doris lived a comfortable life to the final moments of her passing. Survived by her beloved and devoted husband Bill for the past 72 years. Caring mother of Jim (Janice), Julie Davie (Bill) and predeceased by daughter Ann Natale (Joseph). Doris was a devoted stay at home mother and her joy was raising her children and then cherishing her seven grandchildren Chad (Dana), Jack (April), Matt (Kaitlin), Jeff (Katie), Steven, Nicholas and Brigid and eleven great grandchildren Kylie, Camden, Hailey, Livia, Autumn, Jameson, Kennady, Penelope, Emersen, Elowen, Sophie, and Baby Davie (P2) arriving in March. Doris was born in Bathurst, New Brunswick and moved to Windsor in 1950 working at several local companies and then meeting her husband to be Bill. Every summer Doris and Bill enjoyed beautiful sunsets at their cottage on Golden Lake and Doris very much enjoyed the beach and floating in the water on a beautiful summer’s day and was able to enjoy the cottage even in her 90th year. She made friends and enjoyed going to the Euchre club, where her skills were known to be admirable. A very special thanks to Doris’ Husband for his unconditional daily care, and all the phenomenal personal care support workers, neighbours (especially Bob, Sharon, Dave) and helper Josie. Together their care and generosity of their time and support allowed mom to fulfill her desire to stay in her home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doris may be made to the Windsor Essex St. Vincent de Paul Society. Burial will take place at a later date, at St. James Cemetery in Eganville, Ontario. A notice will follow with details closer to the Burial. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel (519-253-7235). Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Church (462 Advance Blvd, Tecumseh) on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
