Obituary of Cecile Rosemarie Mascaro-Thibert

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024 with her loving family by her side, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Norman Thibert (2016) for 1 ½ years and the late Gordon Mascaro (2008) for 52 years. Loving mother of Chris Mascaro and wife Darlene, Connie MacKenzie and husband Scott, Matthew Mascaro and wife Brenda, and Maria Eid and husband Saide. Cherished grandmother of Colin (Melanie), Grant, Evan (Katie), Dawn (Richie), Shea (Meghan), Dayna (Casey), Marissa (Dane), Samantha (Jaa Dee), Aaron (LeeAnna), Alexandra (Adam), Alyssia (Steven), Ava, Abrianna and great grandmother of Lochlan, Everly, Connor, Bennett, Aubree, Autumn, Claudia, Everett, Beau and Max. Cecile proudly served Holy Rosary Parish community as a church secretary for many years, and also served as a Eucharistic Minister, Minister of the Word, RCIA leader and prayer team among many other ministries. As a mature student, Cecile pursued her academic goals of completing her university degree (BA) before all of her children. She was a deeply spiritual woman, who loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Cecile embodied and emanated joy everywhere she went, her smile will be deeply missed. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 4:30pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd. at Wyandotte) at 10am until time of funeral mass at 11am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor or St. Vincent de Paul.
