My deepest condolences to all of Michelle's family and friends. I had the privilege of working with Michelle for many years, at Herman. She was kind, compassionate, funny, determined, hard working, caring and supportive. I could go on and on. She worked tirelessly for our school's kids and changed many lives. She had a beautiful smile and a beautiful soul. She will be missed and never forgotten in the hearts of all who loved her and all who were impacted by her unique gifts. Rest in the peace you so richly deserve, Michelle.
Lorie Schofield and family.

My deepest condolences to Matt, Caleb, Issy and the whole family. Michelle was a colleague and a friend and her loss is deeply felt by her Herman family. Michelle was caring, understanding and passionate. She had an uncanny ability to be positive in any situation. Her empathy and support helped countless students and also carried over to her relationship with colleagues. We will honour her memory by continuing the work she started. She will not be forgotten.

I love this picture of us after completing the Mudderella in Toronto. She got me out of my comfort zone. She was the friend you could pick up with after months of not talking and feel like no time passed. She would say it was quality and not quantity of friends you have that mattered. Michelle was definitely quality. My condolences to her family & friends.

This picture depicts my friendship with Michelle - it was coffee, baked goods, and laughter. She also challenged me - and in turn - changed the trajectory of my life (as she did for so many others). Kevin and I are forever grateful to have known her.

Even though we have never met we want to share with you all our deepest sympathies upon the loss of your wife and mother.as families we often spent summer holidays together in Rondeau Park as my Dad Bill and Kees were close. Our families got along well together and it was myself and my three brothers taunting and pestering and having fun with Sandy, Susan and Michelle. The summer vacation was the best 2 weeks of the year and even though I was 12 years older than Michelle I always recall that she was a happy kid with a smile on her face and it doesn't sound like that changed much. She was a 10 year old when I moved north to Thunder Bay and sadly I did not get to see her become the brave and intrepid woman I have been reading about and I am sorry to have missed that! You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.
Brian and Yvonne Schenk, Adam and Meagan Schenk (Beatrix and Elowen), Alexis and Michael Graham (Bridget and Isaac).

Mrs. Mousseau made my transition into Herman Secondary in senior year the easiest school switch I have ever had to make, and even helped me with resources and items as I was living independently so young. She had an absolute heart of gold, and went out of her way for each and every student she worked with. Absolutely heart wrenching to hear she is no longer with us, and sending deepest condolences to her family and friends

I had the great pleasure and honour of working alongside Michelle at W.F. Herman. She was a pillar of strength, courage and inspiration to all of us. She was a behind the scenes hero. A champion for students who needed a helping hand or someone to help them find their way.
May she rest in peace and may her family find strength in each other and in her memory.
