Obituary of Donald Robert Garvey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa Donald Robert Garvey on February 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Reunited in heaven with his one and only true love Valentine (2010). Loving father to Michele and Tracey. Cherished grandpa to Sam and Stephanie (Kody). Loving great grandpa to Ben, Madilyn, Lily, and Cora. Survived by his brothers and sisters John, George, Marilyn, and Beverly. Reunited with his late brothers and sisters, Francis, Irene, Margaret, Leonard, Alby, Raymond, and Evelyn. Loyal companion to his dog Gilly. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Dad worked at Chrysler's for 45 years as a proud repairman. He was a family man first, he took great care of us kids and made sure he was there to support us. Dad was an avid bowler and loved to work on his miniature-model boats and planes. Dad played lots of sports, he especially loved his hockey and baseball. A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E., 519-253-7234 on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 10:00 am until the Time of the Service in the Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
