Obituary of Edgar Lebert

Edgar Romeo Lebert (b. January 12, 1933), passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2024. Loving husband of the late Estelle Lebert (1934-2017) for 64 years, and son to the late Rose (1974) and Leo Lebert (1992). Proud father to Ron (Helen), Barb (Bob), Cheryl, and Greg (Christine), and Pépé to Kenny (Dana), Dale, Jason (Brittany), Trevor (Jennifer) Eric (Kristen), Kyle (Nicole), Kessia (Ben), Noah, Christopher (Julie), and Leighland (Meg), as well as several great-grandchildren.

Edgar shared his sociable and kind soul with family, friends, and strangers alike. He always found someone to chat with about cars, dogs, boats, hockey, his many fishing and hunting excursions, and about his long career spent at Chrysler. He was rarely without jest, a cheeky quip, or a smile followed by a kind-hearted wink.

Edgar’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Tecumseh Extendicare for their warmth and exceptional service to Edgar in his final months.

Edgar’s life will be celebrated at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 2 pm until time of Service at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Edgar’s family asks that well wishes be expressed in his honour through a donation to Windsor Humane Society.
