Obituary of Irene Bezaire

With broken hearts the family of Irene Bezaire announce her passing on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Robert Bezaire. Loving mother of Michael, David (Mary), Maureen and Jo-Anne. Cherished grandmother of Jessica (Dave), Katie (Wayne) and great grandmother of Keegan. Dear sister of Bill Chartier (the late Mary Lou), Mary Ann Tondreau (Al), the late Gladys St. Louis (the late Herman), the late Marion Arsenault (the late Gerald) and the late John Chartier. Sister in law of June Laforet (Jerry), Linda Burke (Ernie), the late Carol Bezaire. Irene will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Our mom dedicated her life to taking care of others before herself - her parents, our dad, her kids, her grandkids and the dogs that meant so much to her. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for someone in need. Some of our best memories are of time spent with her at the family cottage, a place that she loved, which gave her many life-long friendships. Mom was also an active member of the Catholic Women’s League of Sacred Heart Church for many decades. Thank you to her PSW’s for taking such good care of mom for the last few months. A special thank you to all those who called and/or visited her, that meant more to her than you could ever know. We know that mom is reunited with dad, and her little Lucy, and is pain-free. Family and friends will be received at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be celebrated on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 1pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. Donations in Irene’s memory can be made to Hospice of Windsor or Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
