DUMOUCHEL, Rene
Passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on February 6, 2024 at the age of 79. Predeceased by his parents who resided in Kirkland Lake, Athanas Dumouchel and Mary Jeanne Danis-Gray and his step father Bill Gray. Beloved husband of Lisa (nee Cronmiller) for 36 years. Loving father to Lisa Sinclair, Rene Dumouchel Jr (Angie), Jodie Dumouchel (Monique), Anthony Dorazio (Deceased), Micheal Crane (Katie), Matthew Dumouchel (Pierre). Cherished Papa to Tanya, Jessica, Leo, Brett, Bradley, Jaimee, Amber, Brandan, Paighton, Scarlett, Roxanne, Alexis, Ashton, Kaylah, Jacob, Jeremie and Eleanor. Also survived by 17 great grandchildren. Dear brother to the late Laurette Cholette and her husband the late Victor, Therése Deschamps and her late husband Ed, Henry Dumouchel (Julia), Linda Silver, Roland Dumouchel, and Rita Girard (Marcel). Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family, friends and all the fur grandbabies. Rene was a meat cutter by trade working at IGA and A&P, but later retired in 2009 from Transit Windsor. Rene was an avid fisherman, hunter while also having a passion for woodworking with his latest project being a Frankenstein Bird Feeder. A man of few words his love of family, generosity for those in need and his independent nature is how be will be remembered. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Rene will rest at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, 1600 Norfolk Street on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
