Obituary of Shirley Clare Wilson

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 3rd, 2024. Loving mother to Christopher (Susie), Nicole (Mark), and Jacqueline (Dan). Dear sister to Pam Randal. Predeceased by her parents John and Alice Wilson, and sister Linda Willets. Cherished grandmother to her grandchildren Kyle (Anna), Morgan, Ciera (Lucas), Taylor and Allie, and great grandchildren Brody and Bryan. Shirley will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, her lifelong best friend Patti Truman, and her buddy Howie who kept her laughing daily.

Shirley retired from Chryslers after 32 years. She was a proud, loving mother and grandmother, whose family was her world, including her beloved golden retriever Marlee. Shirley’s greatest treasure were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she was a staple at every sports game they played, and wouldn’t miss any special milestone of theirs for the world. She enjoyed taking trips to Arizona and Alaska to visit family there, and took pride in her flowers and her home.

Shirley was a strong, independent, and unapologetic woman who wore her heart on her sleeve. She will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, and when she needed it, her sassiness.

The family wishes to thank all the caring and compassionate staff at Riverside Place for always providing good care to their mom. Memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7234 on Thursday February 8th from 3:00pm-5:00pm, with a chapel service at 4:00pm, followed by evening visiting from 7:00pm-9:00pm. If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society.
