Obituary of Barbara Hastings

It is with devastation and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our precious Barbara Elizabeth May Hastings on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at her home with family by her side. Beloved wife of Tom Hastings for over 41 years. Loving mother of Johnny (Lisa) and Jimmy (Ashley) Hastings. Cherished Nana to Lucy, Hannah, Daisy and Amelia. Adored daughter in law to Jeannette and the late Thomas Hastings Sr.

She will be welcomed in heaven by her late parents Harry and Sheila Pipes, and brothers John Leslie and David James Pipes. She is survived by her sister Sheila (Jim) Sauve, sister in law Barb (John) Pipes, beloved Aunt to Susan, Jodi, Tara, Joe, Mike, their families and best friend Kim.

We remember Barbara's sense of humour, passion for gardening, love of books and dedication to her grandchildren.

Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada and the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Visitation will be held on at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E) on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10am until the time of service at 11am. A graveside service will take place at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
