Obituary of Leo Leonard Rivait

A life extremely well lived, Leo passed away peacefully surrounded by the family he so dearly loved. Sweetheart and soulmate for over 75 years to Joan (nee Cote). Beloved Father of Brian (Penny), Doug (Barb), Kathy (Jim), and Patrick. Adoring Grandfather of Jeff (Nicole), Katie (Josh), Jonathon, Erin (James), Courtney (Jesse), Matthew (Erica), Jenn (Justin), Megan (Ren), Jillian, Emily, Andrew (Ally) and late Kristina. Great Grandfather of Gavin, Willa, Breanna, Landen, Carson, Brooklynn, Emmett and Raffi. Loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents Philip and Amanda Rivait, and Alexander and Eleanor Cote. Dear brother of late Raymond (late Theresa), late Jack (Rita), late Bob (late Ann) and late Gord (Carol). Brother-in-law of late Alice (late Mac), late Bernadette (late Jeff), late George (late MaryAnn), late Mack (WWII), late Gerry (late Bob), late Connie (late Joe), late Bernard (Bea), late Glen (late Stella), late Bob (Helen), and Pat (late Tom).

Heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paul Ziter and family for their years of care. The family is grateful to the practices of Drs. Bagga, McLarty, Nour, Saad and the many other medical professionals who kept Leo with us over all the years. Leo received exceptional care that went above and beyond from his kind-hearted team of in-home care providers. Thank you to Fr. Mike Parent for his support.

A private pilot for many years, Leo loved the sky. His fifth child was his airplane and he held fond memories of working on the Spitfire alongside Jerry Billings.
