Obituary of Doreen Ward

WARD, Doreen Alice It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Doreen on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Erie Shores Hospice. Predeceased by loving husband Harold John Ward (2005), her parents Hermine Emery (nee Dufresne) (1956) and Eugene Louis Emery (1995), and her brother Henry Souliere (1989). Doreen is survived by her sisters Charlene and husband Ken Westfall of Okotoks AB, Laura and husband Robert Westfall (2010) of Comber ON, and Bernice and Ken Badour (2008) of Windsor. Sister in law of William and Betty Ward, Don and Marilyn Ward, Robert Ward, Douglas and Marg Ward, Shirley and Norman Atkinson, Norma and Stan Moulder, May and Harvey Caza and Beverly and David "Red" Wilson. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to her best friend and neighbour, Dora Medica, also to the staff of Erie Shores Hospice and Windsor Regional Hospital. Doreen worked for McGaffrey Pharmacy for 44 years. Family and friends will be received at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Central (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, Windsor) on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 12pm to 1pm with a funeral service immediately following at 1pm.
