Obituary of Bernadette Chêne

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Bernadette on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 at the age of 90. Predeceased by loving husband Maurice Chêne (1991), and daughter Susanne Chêne (2011). Survived by cherished children Richard (Adrienne) Chêne, Debbie Chêne, and Denis (Hazel) Chêne. Adored Mémé to Jeff, Robert, the late Alan, Danielle, Jennifer, Tyler, and David. G-Mémé to Maurice, Charles, and soon to be Myles. Loving sister to Frances Riberdy.

Bernadette thoroughly enjoyed playing piano and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. She was a warm loving individual, with such a welcoming smile. Bernadette had the ability to lighten up any room she entered. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at The Village of Aspen Lakes for their exceptional care provided to Bernadette.

Memorial visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. (519-253-7235) on Friday, January 12th, 2024 from 4-8pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm.
