Obituary of John Parry Richards

RICHARDS, John Parry Born March 1, 1930 (St. David's Day). Passed away peacefully on October 18, 2008 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of 53 years to Gladys (nee Ellwood). Loving father to Robert Richards and former wife Barbara, Rebecca Rusenstrom and husband Edward, Jeffrey Richards and wife Dina, and Deanna Newlin and husband Daniel. Cherished "Tiad" to Jamey Richards and wife Marianna, Justin Rusenstrom and wife Nicole, Aaron Richards and wife Rocio, Krista Robson and husband Freddy, Meryssa Richards and partner Keith, Jared Richards, Brooke Richards and Morgan Newlin. Great-Grand "Tiad" to Tristan Richards, Rex Robson, Ivano Richards, Hannah Rusenstrom, Zoe Robson and Isiah Rusenstrom. Also surviving are numerous brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, along with many extended relatives in the Windsor-Essex area. Mr. Richards retired in 1992 from G.M. Transmission after 37 years of dedicated service. John was a very passionate and generous man when it came to helping his family and many friends. His generosity will be missed by all whose lives have been touched by him. Family and friends will be received at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. for visitation on Monday, October 20, 2008 from 7 - 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Rev.
