Obituary of Doreen Parent (nee Zverina)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on January 6, 2024, at the age of 94. Reunited with her beloved husband Paul (1989). Cherished mother of Fred (1961), Paul (2006), Rachelle (Lorne), Leonard (Michelle, 2019), Michelle (Ross, 2016), Donna (2021) (Phil), Gerald (1997), and Ellen. Proud Mim of 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Bernice (late Vince) and Arleen (late Louis). Loving godmother of Rita, Philip, and Jackie. Predeceased by her parents Anthony and Laura, siblings Donald, Leonard and Roger (Lorraine), and her in-laws of the Parent Family. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Doreen, alongside her husband Paul were the retired proprietors of Parent Flowers.

The family would like to thank the Nurses and Doctors of Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus for their loving care in her final days.

Funeral Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - BANWELL CHAPEL (519-253-7235). Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe (834 Raymo Rd.) on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Williams Cemetery.
