Obituary of Frances Stefan

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frances Stefan (nee Beckerle) on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the age of 99 (just shy of turning 100). Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank, her parents, Franz and Franziska Beckerle, her sister and brother-in-law, Maria and Franz Schaeffer, and her in-laws, Adam and Maria Stefan. Frances will be greatly missed by her daughter, Rosemary, and her two precious grandchildren, Courtney and Ryan. Frances also leaves behind, all in Austria, two nephews, five great nieces and nephews, and several great- great nieces and nephews. Frances was a proud, cherished, long-time member of St. Micheal’s German Church, the Catholic Women’s League, and the Teutonia German Club. Frances loved playing cards with family and friends. Her love of gardening won her first prize in Essex County. Frances’s family would like to thank the staff of Wyndham Manor Long Term Care, Oakville, for their exceptional care. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 1pm until the time of service at 1.30pm at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E,, Windsor, 519-253-7234.
