Obituary of Frances Demchuk

Demchuk, Frances (Nee Sykora) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Frances Demchuk on December 28, 2023 at the age of 95. She reunites with her loving husband Donald. Adoring mother to Donna (Allan) Callery, and David (Rebecca) Demchuk. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Spencer and Mackenzie Callery, Mitchell and Matthew Demchuk. She will be lovingly remembered by sister Lillian Mokievsky - Zubok and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Mary Lach, Tony Sykora and Jenny Gallik. Frances was born on June 10th, 1928 in Czech Republic to parents Anthony and Rosalia Sykora. She immigrated to Canada in 1937 to Kenora, ON. Then marrying her dearest Donald on December 26, 1963. Frances was a devoted catholic throughout her life. With much gratitude and thanks to the nurses and doctors on the 8th floor at WRH - Metropolitan Campus. In honour of Frances, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E) on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 10am at Good Shepherd Parish. Graveside service to follow at Ste. Anne's Cemetery.
