Obituary of Evelyn Aileen Friedrichsen (nee McKeen)

Evelyn Aileen Friedrichsen passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on Friday December 29, surrounded by her family. Born in Country Harbour Lake, NS on January 12, 1937, she and her family moved to Timmins, ON in 1938 followed by another move to Cobourg, ON in 1949. She settled in Windsor, ON in 1957.

Dearest wife of Bernie for over 63 years. Beloved mother of John (Tracy Cooper), Paul, Peter (Susan Ruptash), Christina (Darin Truman), dear grandmother of Adam Friedrichsen (Lane Cameron), Dana Friedrichsen, Hailey Friedrichsen, Emily Truman, and Madeline Truman. Great grandmother to Cooper Friedrichsen.

Evelyn loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family. She had a wonderful sense of humour and shared many decades of laughter with her husband, who she adored. She will be missed so very much by all who knew her. Her family will take great comfort in knowing that it was a precious gift to have her supportive and loving presence in their lives for so many years.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home –Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor (519-253-7235), Saturday, January 6 at 1pm, followed by a celebration of life at 2pm.
