Obituary of Steve Korenic
Born in Croatia, September 11th, 1934 Steve Korenic was a husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. Steve leaves behind his wife of 65 years Zora Korenic (nee Sutlic). He is father of son Joe and wife, Heidi, (and the late Romana Pavia Korenic) and daughter Maryanne and Jimmy Patton. Grandfather “Deda” to Samantha and husband Dylan Montcalm, Sabrina (Ray), Mario (Maggie), Michael and Bella. And also Grandfather “Deda” to Mark and Jake Patton.
Steve was a brother of the late Danica and Joe Korenic, the late Anna and Joseph Kovacic and Marica and John Novosel. Steve leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Steve is a proud member of Saint Francis of Assisi church. He is retired member of Unifor local, 444. Our father Steve lived a wonderful life full of wine, food, and family. His greatest days were on December 26th, for the last 50 years where the whole family would come over and celebrate Saint Steve’s day. He took a lot of pride in making his own wine, his own whiskey in his own Kabasa, and prosciutto. he was a man’s man that enjoyed his family and his life to the fullest. God bless you dad. Family and friends will be received at Windsor Chapel - Central (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E.) on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 5-9pm. Parish Prayers at 7pm. Funeral service on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 9:15am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church (1701 Turner Rd.) for Funeral Mass at 10am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations in Steve's memory can be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Building Fund
