Obituary of Shirley Sfalcin (nee Mass)

Passed away peacefully in her home on December 22, 2023, with her adoring husband of 60 years Gianni Sfalcin I by her side. Beloved mother of Gianni Sfalcin II (Beth) and Kim Deane (Bryan). Loving Nonna to Julia and Nina Sfalcin, and to Pilar and Bree Deane. Caring sister to Gary Mass (Jenny). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Greatly missed by her beloved canine companion, Foofy. She is predeceased by her sister, Katherine Lester (Jack), and her parents, Frank and Sylvia Mass. 

Shirley was many things in her lifetime; a hairdresser, a costume designer, Vice President of Maidstone Masonry and a fantastic cook. Above all else, she was an amazing person. She was warm and kind and could talk to anyone about anything for hours. Shirley took care of everyone around her and never asked for anything in return. She put a great deal of time and effort into making those in her life feel happy and loved, and everyone who knew her felt that love and happiness because of her. She is loved deeply and will be greatly missed and the world is a lesser place without her in it. 

Memorial visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel 11677 Tecumseh Road E. (519-253-7235) on Friday, December 29th, 2023 from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by her family.
