Obituary of Robert "Bob" Ryan

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and papa, Robert “Bob” Ryan. Loving husband to Karen for 5o years, cherished dad to Sean (Laura), papa to his grandchildren Aubrey (2007), Lylah and Maryn. Reunited in heaven with his parents Howard (1999) and Mary (2007). Predeceased by his sister Joan Kovac (2008) (Doug (2016)). Survived by brothers Gary (Carol) and William (Bonnie (2015)). He will be dearly missed by his extended family, and by his many close friends. Bob was a devoted Roman Catholic of the old St. Anne’s Parish In Walkerville and more recently to Most Precious Blood. He was a long time executive at Laidlaw Transportation. Bob always enjoyed his weekly lunches with his good buddies and trips to Costco for 8 bags of potato chips with Uncle Jack. Dad could always be found, in his early days, on the golf course, and more recently in the yard, tending to his garden, or dancing in the kitchen with Mom to Abba music. He was proud and honourable man, that was truly loved and will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. 519-551-2834 on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 2:00-5:00pm. Parish prayers at 4:30pm. A funeral mass will be held at Most Precious Blood on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00pm. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In memory of Bob, donations can be made to the CNIB.
