Obituary of Fayette Loomis

LOOMIS, Fayette Mary (nee Craig) Passed away peacefully on October 10, 2008 at the age of 83 years, predeceased by her husband Ernest and her parents Fay and Leona Craig. Stepmother of Mary Fay and husband Jack Cunningham of Sarnia, Molly and husband Reg Forth of Lakefield, Ont., Murray and Judy Loomis of Amherstburg, Ont., and Leona Loomis of Windsor, Ont. She was truly loved by many grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Norma Davis, and by her brother James and wife Theresa, Craig. Predeceased by her stepson Barron, grandson Stephen Loomis, brother Vernon, brothers- in-law Don Brewer, and Jack Davis, and sisters Agnes McFadden, and Betty Brewer. Fayette was a former member of Lt. Douglas Green Chapter I.O.D.E & I.O.D.E. Hospital Auxiliary, and was a volunteer for years in cancer work, both in Windsor and Lambton County. In former years Fayette was a hairdresser in Windsor where she met her husband Ernest and spent many happy years. They moved to their dream home in Port Lambton, where after a few years Ernest passed away and Fayette then returned to Windsor where she continued her life to the present time. At Fayette's request there will be no visitation and cremation has already taken place. A Memorial Service will take place in Port Lambton at a later date, and her ashes will then be placed beside her late husband Ernest and grandson Stephen.
