Obituary of Luigi Rinaldi

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luigi on December 14th at the age of 94.

Beloved and devoted husband of the late Maria Giovanna (Anna) Rinaldi for 68 years.

Loving father of Saverio, Rosa Marra and his late sons Pasquale (2018) and baby Antonio Michele (1963). Caring father-in-law to Patti De Lorenzi, Linda Rinaldi, and Frank Marra.

Cherished nonno of Jennifer, Amanda, Michael Anthony, Sylvia, Annamaria and Caterina and bisnonno of Mabel, Hannah and Kolby.

Dear to his heart were his extended family, his predeceased siblings and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.

Luigi was a retiree of Ford Motor Company where he worked for 28 years, a member of Unifor Local 200, a member of Caboto Club and a devoted parishioner of St. Angela Merici Church.  He was an avid gardener and was happiest when family and friends enjoyed eating the delicious fruits and vegetables he tended.  He was a fixer of all things, he loved life, loved laughing, but most of all he was a loving, selfless and giving husband and father. 

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Wednesday, December 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Prayers Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Angela Merici Church, 980 Louis Avenue on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Angela Merici Church, Alzheimer Society of Windsor & Essex County or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
