Obituary of Anne Jones

Peacefully with her family by her side at home on December 12th, 2023, at the age 102. Reunited with her beloved husband Austin of 69 years. Dearest Mother of Dana Howe (Allan), Gary Jones (Jean), Susan Macri (Vic). Treasured Nana to Alana and Jason Riley, Alissa and Ken Poisson, Kristen and Ray Stefanski, Katie and Colin Espinales and Reece Macri. Loving Great Nana to Austin, Christian, Jack, Annie, Madison, Carter, Nolan, Bennett and Nico. Sister to Rose Champion and Constance Drew. Served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) in World War II in England and is very proudly British. Came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. She worked in Detroit at Hudsons, National Bank and later as a realtor. Anne belongs to St. Mark’s Church. Anne was passionate about music, loved to sing and dance, she loved fashion, particularly leopard, competitive bridge, a desire to laugh and show others kindness. Thanks to HCCS, Paramed, Bayshore, Hospice for helping her family care for her at home. Special thanks to Chris, Douglas, Dorothy, Carol, Terri, Jen and others for their kindness and loving care. Dr. Paterson you are the best! Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Visitation will be held at St. Mark’s by the Lake (150 St. Mark’s Rd. Tecumseh) on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
