Obituary of Leonardo Riccardi

RICCARDI, Leonardo "Narducco" Passed away peacefully on February 5, 2020 at the age of 96. Reunited with his beloved wife Maria (nee Armenise) (2010). Loving and devoted father to Saverio Riccardi (2018) and wife Doreen (2010), Michelina Mastronardi (2008) and husband Ralph (2008), late Giuseppe Riccardi, Francesco Riccardi and wife Lynn Baker, Antonio Riccardi and wife Francine. Cherished Nonno to Leonard Riccardi (Christine), Danny Mastronardi (Mary Beth), Lina-Marie Nardiello (Marc), Brian Mastronardi (Egle), Jeffrey Mastronardi (Kristen), Michael Riccardi (Kim Hulme), Christina Riccardi, Nicole Durocher (Robert), Kelly Kennedy (Austin) and Brianne Riccardi. Adored Bis-Nonno to Semera, Emma, Jada, Vivian, Nicholas, Veyda Jade and Kyleigh. Dear brother of Antonia Adamo (Vincenzo). Predeceased by siblings, Nicola Riccardi and surviving wife Carmela, Santina Urbano (Frank), Suora Maria Riccardi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Leonardo was a retired employee of Kelsey Hayes with 26 years of dedicated service and a member of the Puglia Club. Leonardo emigrated to Canada in 1951 to make a better life for his family in Canada. In doing so, he also was instrumental in assisting many family and friends to help them achieve a better life for themselves and their families in Canada. Leonardo was passionate about making wine, enjoyed his gardening, drinking his grappa and savoring the social atmosphere of spending time with his family and friends. Friends will be received at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519)253-7234 on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers Tuesday at 4:30pm. Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 8:30am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave. at Erie St. E., Windsor) for Funeral Mass at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Leonardo, memorial donations may be made to the A.L.S.
