DANCEL, Consuelo (nee Quetula)
Passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, at the age of 104 years old. Reunited with her husband Leonardo (2007) and son Leon (2023). Loving mother of Dalisay and husband Willie Madla, Mac and wife Priscilla (Ruiz), Bella and husband Danny Libonao, Anna and husband Mario Barzabal (Philippines), Albino and wife Nita (Canos), Molly and husband Norly Villas, Rico and wife Shelley (Iverson) and Yolanda and husband Mark Caridad. Lola will be missed by her grandchildren, Joe and Tsao Yee, Cynthia, Mark and Alexia, Leon Jr. And Cristina, Cherry and Allan, Cris and Ramina, Erik and Amelia, Leo and Melanie, Christine and Jim, Eileen, Edwin, Nerissa and Chris, Ryanne, Amanda and Jason, Rick, Yasmin and Sun, Naomi and Noah. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren Austin, Ryan, Gabriel, Charlie Rose, Leon Jr., Ezekiel Matthius, Aviel Calista, Cayelim, Oden, Olivia, Akhia Victoria, Akhiro, Alexa, Marc Jim, Ava, Maverick, Savannah and Brixton. Survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family in the US and Philippines. Conching loved church, gardening, word search, exercising and spending time with her family. One of her great passions was her faith, as a devout Catholic she prayed daily. Up until the age of 99, she lived on her own at the Rivard Apartments and always staying connected with her family in the US and Philipines by computer and social media. She was known for her kind heart, active lifestyle and being a hard worker. She will be forever missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the paramedics – C.C.A.C St. Elizabeth and the doctors & nurses for their compassionate care over the years. Especially thanks to Dr. Trang and staff.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. Family and Friends are invited to gather on Saturday, December 9, 2023 for The Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Atonement Parish, 2940 Forest Glade Dr., Windsor at 10:00 a.m. with parish visitation at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be left at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
