Dear Mr. Penava, Debbie, Laura, Sandy, Nick & Families - My deepest condolences on the passing of your beautiful Wife, Mama & Baba. Mrs. Penava (Katie) always had a warm & bright smile & was always so easy to talk too. She was so proud of her big, beautiful family & her legacy will continue to live on, in her children & grandchildren. My deepest condolences to all of the Penava family in the loss of Katie. She wasn’t just the long standing neighbour who lived two doors away. It was always a joy to chat with her. Jerry....words just can't say enough, but I was saddened and shocked today to hear of Katie's passing. My deepest condolences to you and your family for your loss. Although we only saw each other occasionally at our Croatian events, it was always a pleasure to chat with Katie and catch up with the "happenings" of our families. I already miss Katie's sunshine personality. Although she was my first cousin I always looked up to her as aunt (tetka) Katie. She was a perfect role model growing up. So gentle, generous and kind. She was also a great friend who enjoyed a good time. Thank you Penevas for including me in our traditional soccer game get togethers it means so much to me. I am so lucky to have you as FAMILY!!
