Obituary of Bob Cote

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 88 on November 24, 2023. Beloved husband of 63 wonderful years to Helen (nee Pitre). Cherished father of Ken (2022), Tim (Shelley), Anne-Marie (Kevin), Tracey Wortley (Steve), Alan (Susan) and Kevin (Vanessa). Proud Grandpa of Josh (Jenna), Ashley (Joe), Ashley (Zech), Morgan (Devon), Alyssa (Kayla), Sydney (Tom), Braydon, Parker, Gracie, and Papa of Mason, Brady, Nash, Brady, Easton and Jackson. Survived by siblings Joan Rivait (Leo) and Patricia Hunter (late Tom). Predeceased by siblings John “Mac” Cote, Alice MacQueen (late Villiers), Bernadette Cote (late Jeff), George Cote (late Maryanne), Gerry Ouellette (late Bob), Connie St. Pierre (late Joe), Glen Cote (late Stella) and Bernard Cote (Bea). Brother-in-law of Gene Pitre (late Betty), Frank Pitre (Sandy), Rose Marceau (late Babe), Flossie Mayrand (Ken) and late Larry Pitre (late Linda). Survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Bob retired from GM Trim Plant after many years of dedicated service. In his retirement, you could find him tinkering in his garage with the wood-burning stove on, and always ready to lend a helping hand.

The family would like to thank the staff of Windsor Hospice for all their dedicated care and compassion.

Memorial Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 10:30 am in the Chapel. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
