I just heard about Joe's sudden death and am heartbroken for Jean, Nicky, Joey, Jeff, Jamie and the family. Joe and Jean, you were absolutely the best neighbours and Joe's generosity was so incredible. I was very moved by the gift of your coming to the memorial of my husband, Don. I know your deep sadness - a grief that goes beyond words, and I will be thinking of you with prayers for peace and healing in your own time. Joe was a deep part of you and will continue to be so. Jeannie, We just found out that Joe recently passed away. Wayne and I hold very fond memories of our friendship during those years of Cor and raising our children. Joe certainly left this world a better place. I always felt unfortunate to have met only one grandfather back home but last year since I met you, I had no complaints. You are the best grandpa. The love and the positivity that you and grandma share with everyone around is a blessing the world is badly in need of. Not to forget the values that you have given your children. You and your family have made Canada feel like Home for international students like me. I wish I too mould my heart to as big as yours to welcome strangers into my family, and shower them with only kindness and love. Dear Jeannie and Family, We were heartbroken to hear of Joe's passing. He was such a kind and gentle man and I feel lucky to have known him for well over 30 years. He was a great and very close friend. We will always remember our trip to New York City and Los Vegas. We enjoyed that so much. There are so many great memories of Joe.
