Obituary of Helen Ciuciura

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Helen Ciuciura on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. She is predeceased by Jim (November 4, 2022), her loving husband of 47 years.

Helen leaves behind her loving sisters Kathleen Moeller and Margaret West, both of British Columbia, her very adored nephew Ian Schipper and great nephew Elio Schipper, both of Wellington, New Zealand. Helen took great comfort in her cat ‘Smudge’, who has already been adopted by a loving friend.

Helen was a former teacher at the GECDSB, was an accomplished piano player, and enjoyed writing, publishing a murder mystery. Helen pursued many activities. She was an enthusiastic supporter of Jim’s music career and retirement activities, always excited and positive. She often hosted elaborate show parties after Jim’s high school productions.

She was steadfast in her devotion to her family and had many loyal friends. Helen’s family wishes to thank many good friends, Heather, John, Leo and Sydney for their amazing support and care.
