Obituary of Marie Mogyorodi

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Marie on October 14, 2023 at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving daughters. Reunited with beloved husband, Bob (2014). Dear mother of Julie Agnolin (Rick), Cathie Leonetti (Marco), and John Mogyorodi (Cynthia). Loving grandmother of Ian, Eric, Miranda, Carly, and Mara. Special great-grandmother to Mack. Marie was an only child, but held very dear her first cousin Rosemary Wangard (2012), who was like a sister to her. Sister-in-law of the late William and Helen Mogyorody, the late Mary and Alec Olah, and the late Florence Smijan. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Marie was in business with her husband Bob for 49 years running Bomar Lift Trucks Ltd. She first laid eyes on him at Casper’s Roller Rink Pavilion in Leamington during her many visits to her cottage on Point Pelee Drive. She was only 16 years old, but knew he was the one. Marie was the founder of MCM Snack Foods and was fondly referred to as the “Nacho Lady”. Marie loved collecting postcards ever since she was a little girl and grew an exciting collection. She was always proud to show you her latest find. Marie and Bob loved hunting for antiques and acquired many treasures at antique auctions. Marie was a devoted Catholic exhibiting a strong faith and positive values which helped to guide her through life. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Her generosity and caring had no limit. At Marie’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held privately with her family. Online condolences can be made at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home.
