Obituary of Tom Damceski

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Tomislav on Thursday, September 28^th, 2023 at the age of 86. Survived by loving wife Fanija Damceski of 49 years. Cherished Daughters Vicky (Christopher) Tanevski and Snezana (Mite) Ristovski. Grandfather to Michael (Joanna) Ristovski, and Christina. Great Grandfather to Avery and Logan. Brother-in law Boris (late Danica) Lembovski (Windsor) along with Boris' children Goran (Jamie) Lembovski (California) and Natasha (Michael) Thompson (Windsor), and their daughter Mia. Survived by many family members in Macedonia, daughter Vesna (Pece) Arsovski and family and daughter Mirjana Damceska. Sister Gorica (Tome) and sister Jovanka (Ratko) Koceva and their families. Niece Jasmina, Nephews Goce, Ljupco, Ljupco and their families. Predeceased by Brothers Vojce and Mito from Prilep.

Tom moved to Canada on April 28, 1974 and resided in Windsor. He was in the military in Macedonia as a young man, and also studied to be a machinist. He took the knowledge he learned there and was employed at Ford Motor Company for over 25 years, retiring in 2002. He deeply loved his family, friends and community, especially the Macedonian community. He was the President and general manager of St. Nicholas Macedonian Orthodox Church and Community Centre for many years, all on a volunteer basis. He found joy in music and hosted the radio show Radio Vardarski Branovi for over 25 years. He also took great pride in his humble home and was an avid gardener, not only floral but vegetable/fruit and grapevine. He enjoyed wine-making and even entered wine competitions with his red wines. He adored cars and shared his extensive knowledge about them with many.

Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, from 2- 5 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service will begin on Thursday, October 5th, 2023, at 10:00 am from the Funeral Home to St. Nicholas Macedonian Orthodox Church for Funeral Service at 11:00 am. The Very Rev. Fr. Emil Atanasov officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
