Obituary of Mildred Lorraine Miles

Miles (Chard), Mildred Lorraine It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine on September 23, 2023 at the age of 96, who is now reunited with her devoted husband Edwin (2013) after 57 years of marriage. She is survived by her children John, Ed and wife Linda, and Melody (2019) and husband Bill, as well as granddaughters Charlotte and Olivia Miles whom she adored. Predeceased by her parents Mildred and Thomas Chard, and her sisters Marilyn and Judith, She is survived by her dear sister Glenda Banyai, sister-in-law Marilyn Robbins, nephew Robert Banyai and niece Lynn Hajdu and husband Frank, and many other nieces and nephews. Lorraine had a long career as a legal assistant for well-known Windsor lawyer Harold Bick before moving to the Ontario Provincial Court. In retirement she loved ballroom dancing with her husband, and spending time at the Scottish Club with friends. She was very independent and hardworking, and always focused on providing care and stability for her family. In her eighties and nineties she could still be found chasing her granddaughters around the house, playing catch, and cooking Christmas dinners. Lorraine will be dearly missed by her family and countless friends and coworkers. At her request, there was no service or visitation.
