Obituary of John Morency

MORENCY, John

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on September 29^th, 2023, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Rodgers) for over 44 years. Loving father of Stephanie Young (Matt) and Cayla Morency. Cherished Grandpa Johnny to Clara, Hazel and Benjamin. Dear brother to Margaret, Gerri (Gordie), Marlene (George), Cheryl (Doug) and Lou Ann (the late Mike). Brother-in-law to Ruth (Jim), Bev (John), Millie (Gary) and the late Barb and Jean. Son of the late Sophie and Pete. John was a retiree from General Motors Trim Plant and an active member of the Unifor Local 1973. He enjoyed playing tennis, Tai Chi, comedy, travelling and reading. He also loved his pug dogs over the years. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Heron Terrace, especially Shailyn, Karen and Susie for their compassionate care. They would also like to thank Daniel and Mandy from Bayshore for their years of home support.

He will be forever missed and never forgotten by all who knew him. As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor (519-253-7235) on Wednesday, October 4^th, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.windsorchapel.com.
