Obituary of Josephine (Giuseppina) Ieraci (nee Surace)

83 years.  Passed away with her family by her side on September 24, 2023.  Predeceased by her husband Albino (2003).  Predeceased by her parents Fortunato and Serafina Surace, brother Frank (Domenica) Surace, sisters Vincenza (Salvatore) Giugno, Rosa Strano, Mary Oliva, brother-in-law Frank Ieraci and sister-in-law Amelia Ieraci.   Loving mother of Rocky (Angela) Ieraci, Carmela (Frank) Mancina.  Cara Nonna of Albiano, Antonio, Isabella, GianLuca and Francesco Jr. Will be sadly missed by brother Rocco (Natalina) Surace, brother-in-laws Mario Strano, Orazio Oliva , sister-in-law Marcy Ieraci, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends in Italy and across North America.  Josephine was an RNA and worked at Hotel Dieu Hospital for over 36 years before retiring.  A faithful and dedicated member of Most Precious Blood Church and CWL.  She was a great cook, baker, gardener, and spoke 4 languages, but most of all she was proud of and enjoyed spending time with her family.  A special thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses, PSW’s and volunteers at Hospice of Windsor for the care and compassion provided to our Mother and  family.  A Private Family Service will be held.  Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
